Bill Kingsbury suggested to the Board that the contract with Madsen
Western Builders be closed with the exception of $15,075 relating to
the extra cost the DDA incurred with the concrete problems. Doug
Madsen responded by saying that Madsen Western should receive the
full amount since they had additional costs. After further
discussion, Dave McCarry moved that Resolution 85-11 be tabled until
an acceptable warranty is developed. Barbara Schofield seconded the
motion. Motion carried 8 to 1 with Art March dissenting. The Board
directed staff to negotiate further with Madsen Western Builders.
The Core Area Plan was presented by Chip Steiner. Discussion
followed. Barbara Schofield suggested changing the name to lessen
any confusion. She also suggested developing a comprehensive map to
show the plan simply. Barbara suggested the Board really work on
the Core Area Plan at the retreat.

sidewalks along the Mason Street extension. Discussion followed,
but no decision was made.
