A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held on June 18, 2007 in Municipal
Court, Justice Center, 215 North Mason. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding.

Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated there are no changes to the agenda.
Show Cause Hearing for
Mini Corporation, dba Match -Ups,
625 South Mason,
Motion to Show Cause Dismissed
Senior Assistant City Attorney Ablao stated that all requirements have been and requested that the
motion to show cause for Mini Corporation be dismissed.
Judge Lane dismissed the motion to show cause for Mini Corporation, dba Match -Ups, 625 South
Mason.
Registration of Jimmie Guerette
as Manager of
Chipotle Mexican Grill,
649 South College Avenue, Approved
Jimmie Guerette, manager applicant, briefly reviewed his background. He stated he has had on the
job training. Mr. Guerette stated either he or one of his assistant managers is on premise. He stated
any patron purchasing alcohol must provide a valid identification and that all patrons are carded.
Mr. Guerette stated any employee found in violation of the liquor code is immediately terminated.
He stated he will contact Deputy City Clerk Jensen to obtain a current copy of the liquor code.
Judge Lane approved Jimmie Guerette as Manager of Chipotle Mexican Grill, 649 South College
Avenue.

Show Cause Hearing for The Sandtrap, Inc.,
dba MacKenzie's Pub and Grill,
5750 South Lemay Avenue,
Order Approved
Senior Assistant City Attorney Ablao summarized the stipulation agreement. She stated that the
Licensee has agreed to a 1 day suspension, 1 day served (paid fine in lieu of suspension$200), for
violating Regulation 47-302, changing the premise without prior approval.
Robert Dahl, representative for The Sandtrap, Inc., stated he admits to the violation.
Judge Lane accepted the order as presented for The Sandtrap, Inc., dba MacKenzie's Pub and Grill,
5750 South Lemay Avenue.

5750 South Lemay Avenue, Approved
Robert Dahl, representative for The Sandtrap, Inc., briefly described the proposed changes. He
stated he has received all the necessary permits for these changes. Mr. Dahl stated he has received
positive responses from the public in support of this application.
Judge Lane approved the request from The Sandtrap, Inc., dba MacKenzie's Pub and Grill, to
change, alter, or modify the licensed premises at 5750 South Lemay Avenue.
Request from Glozer, LLC
dba Lyric Cinema Cafe, to
Change, Alter, or Modify the Licensed Premises at
300 East Mountain Avenue, Approved
Josh, representative for Glozer, LLC, stated patrons have been requesting that alcohol be able to be
served on the patio. He stated they have excellent visibility of the patio area from inside. Mr. Glaser
stated the seating capacity for the patio will be 20-25 patrons.
Josh briefly reviewed the petitioning process. He stated he has received many positive comments
in support of this application.
Judge Lane approved the modification of premise from Glozer, LLC, dba Lyric Cinema Cafe, to
change, alter, or modify the licensed premises at 300 East Mountain Avenue.

Request from Cooper Foods, Inc., dba
BackPorch Cafe, to Change, Alter, or Modify the
Licensed Premises at 1101 East Lincoln Avenue
from noon July 21, 2007 through midnight July 21 2007 Approved
Michael Cooper, representative for Cooper Foods, Inc., briefly described the proposed changes. He
stated he will put up temporary fencing on the north and east perimeter of property discourage
attendees from leaving the premise with alcohol.
Judge Lane approved the request from Cooper Foods, Inc., dba BackPorch Cafe, to change, alter, or
modify the licensed premises at 1101 East Lincoln Avenue from noon July 21, 2007 through
midnight July 21, 2007.
Transfer of Ownership of Tailgate Tommy's,
313 West Drake from Meracana, LLC, to
TT Restaurant, LLC, Approved
Shane Levine, representative for Meracana, LLC, briefly described his background. He stated he is
in the process of hiring a manager. Mr. Levine stated he has not made any physical changes to the
premise. He stated weekend nights a door person checks each patrons identification. Mr. Levine
stated he will have all employees sign an affidavit acknowledging they understand they will be
terminated if they are found in violation of the liquor code.
Judge Lane approved the transfer of ownership of Tailgate Tommy's, 313 West Drake from
Meracana, LLC to TT Restaurant, LLC.
Hearing on a New Application from
Hoffy's Coffey, Co., for a Beer and Wine License
at Starry Night CaM 112 South College Avenue, Continued to July 9 2007
Michael Hoffman, representative for Hotly's Coffey, Co., briefly described his background. He
stated it is not their intent to be in the bar business. Mr. Hoffman stated they will not be changing
their hours of operation. He stated they will not be serving alcohol on the patio area. Mr. Hoffinan
stated all employee will be required to sign an affidavit acknowledging that they are aware they will
be terminated immediately if they violate the liquor code. He stated he will schedule TIP's training
for himself. Mr. Hoffman stated he will obtain a copy of the liquor code.
Judge Lane continued the hearing to July 9, 2007 to allow the applicant to re -petition.

Hearing on a New Application from
U.C. Bandits, Inc., for a Beer and Wine License at
DP Dough. 634 South College Avenue, Approved
Michael Davie and Anthony Bartolone, representatives for U.C. Bandits, Inc., were sworn and briefly
described their backgrounds. Mr. Davie stated they have been open for 6 years without serving
alcohol. Mr. Bartolone stated he and Mr. Davie have attended TIP's training as well as require
employees to attend. Mr. Davie stated they have recently moved to a new location and want to
include beer and wine service. He stated any patron that appears to be 35 years of age or younger
will be carded. Mr. Davie stated this establishment is primarily a restaurant and that they expect the
sale of food to be 80-90% of gross sales. He stated an employee will be stationed on the patio if
patrons are consuming alcohol.
Mr. Davie briefly described the petitioning process. He stated he received many positive comments
in support of this application.
Judge Lane adopted Resolution 2007 - 10 approving an application from U.C. Bandits, Inc., for a
beer and wine license at DP Dough, 634 South College Avenue.
Hearing on a New Application from
Harjun, Inc., for a Hotel -Restaurant Liquor License
at Star of India. 2900 Harvard Street, Unit E. Approved
Diane Goldenstein, attorney representing Harjun, Inc., stated they are ready to proceed. Iqbal
Cheema, representative for Harjun, Inc., was sworn and briefly described his background. He stated
he is aware that he is responsible for the actions of his employees with respect to alcohol service.
Mr. Cheema stated he will have monthly training for employees. He stated this establishment will
primarily be a restaurant. Mr. Cheema stated he will pay employees $200 for each confiscated fake
identification.
Judge Lane noted the results of the petitioning demonstrated support for this application.
Judge Lane adopted Resolution 2007-11 approving ahotel-restaurant liquor license application from
Harjun, Inc., at Star of India, 2900 Harvard Street, Unit E.
