REPORT BY CHAIRMAN
Chairman Matt Strauch thanked Board members for their participation in the April retreat. He reported
that notes from that discussion will be used to complete the periodic review questionnaire for City
Council. He thanked Lee for the poster which advertised Magistrate Berenato's presentation on May 2.
And it was noted that the press release that was sent to the Coloradoan was printed at least 3 times. At
Matt's request, staff support Janet Urban will contact Ryan Hennig to request his letter of resignation
from the Board so that his position can be filled. Ryan is a graduating senior and will have gone away to
school when Board meetings resume in September.
FINALIZATION OF MEMO TO COUNCIL RE: MAP
The stats and the map (facilities/programs/population with transit routes) were presented to the Parks and
Recreation Board. The goal of the map is to show a need for southside facilities/programs. The next step
is to summarize the information on the map and write a memo to City Council. Matt Strauch and Erin
Rooney will compose the memo.
