HomeMy WebLinkAboutBuilding Review Board - Minutes - 11/16/2006Minutes approved by the Board at the January 25, 2007 Meeting FORT COLLINS BUILDING REVIEW BOARD Regular Meeting —November 16, 2006 Liaison: A regular meeting of the Building Review Board was held on Thursday, November 16, 2006 in the Council Chambers of the Fort Collins. Municipal Building at 300 LaPorte Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado. BOARDMEMBERS PRESENT: David Carr John McCoy Michael Smilie, Chair • .:rut ut: • 3,10M 1 Gene Little Jim Packard STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: Felix Lee, Neighborhood & Building Services Director Delynn Coldiron, Contractor Licensing & Admin Services Coordinator AGENDA: 1. ROLLCALL The meeting was called to order and roll call was taken. 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES McCoy made a motion to approve the minutes from the October 26, 2006 meeting. Carr seconded the motion. The motion passed. 3. Ron Foust, d/b/a United Multi -Family Construction, Case # 17-06 The appellant was requesting a restricted C2 license to enable him to perform restoration, alterations and structural modifications to multi -family and associated buildings. The appellant took and passed the City's C2 exam; however, could not submit project experience that was sufficient to meet the licensing criteria of an unrestricted C2 license. Staff issued a temporary, restricted C2 license to enable the appellant to get started with pending Ft. Collins projects. BRB November 16, 2006 Pg. 2 5. Carr made a motion to approve a restricted C2 license that would enable the appellant to perform structural restoration, alteration and repair work. McCoy seconded the motion. Vote: Yeas: Carr, McCoy, Smilie Nays: None Other Business 1. 2007 Work Plan: There was brief discussion on the 2007 Work Plan that had been submitted. McCoy made a motion to approve the 2007 Work Plan. Smilie seconded the motion. The motion passed. 2. Rental Housing Standards Appeals: Felix provided the Board with information on future cases that will be coming to the Board related to Rental Housing Standards.
