Regular Meeting - August 7, 2006

A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held on August 7, 2006 in Municipal Court,
Justice Center, 201 LaPorte. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding.

Robert Younger, Liquor Enforcement Officer
Agenda Review
Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated there are no changes to the agenda.
Approval of Minutes
Judge Lane approved the minutes from June 26, 2006, July 10, 2006, and July 24, 2006.
Tastings Permit Application from
Quattro Vino, Inc., dba Quattro Vino,
4019 South Mason Street, #5, Approved
Matt Haines, representative for Quattro Vino, Inc., briefly described the establishment. He briefly
detailed the control plan. Mr. Haines stated he has attended Officer Younger's training. Officer
Younger stated he will discuss the specifics of the tastings liquor code with Mr. Haines. Mr. Haines
briefly described the petitioning process.
Judge Lane approved the tastings permit application from Quattro Vino, 4019 South Mason Street, #5,
contingent upon receipt of proof of additional training submitted to the City Clerk's Office.
Registration of Jennifer Garcia as Manager of
HuHot Mongolian Grill,
259 South College Avenue, Approved
Jennifer Garcia, manager applicant, stated she has not received formalized training in the sale and
service of alcohol. She stated she will require her bartenders to attend Officer Younger's training. Ms.
Garcia stated either she or one of her two assistant managers is on premise. She stated she requires her
servers to card any patron that appears to be 40 years of age or younger. Ms. Garcia stated any

employee found in violation of the liquor code is immediately terminated. She stated she has a current
copy of the liquor code on premise.
Judge Lane approved the registration of Jennifer Garcia as Manager of HuHot Mongolian Grill, 259
South College Avenue.
Hearing on a Change of Location Application
from Janette's Pharmacy, Inc., to move
a retail liquor store license from
1624 South Lemay Avenue to
802 East Mulberry Street, Continued to August 21
Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated the application had not submitted a change in corporate structure in
time for this agenda.
Transfer of Ownership of Griller's Global Cafe,
706 South College Avenue,
from Griller's Global Cafe, Inc.,
to Shige Corporation, and
Trade Name Change to Gohan Time, Approved
Jeff Larson, attorney representing the Licensee, stated the previous tenant had abandoned the premise.
He stated he has provided the owners extensive training. Mr. Larson stated all patrons will be carded.
He stated all the employees will be required to attend Officer Younger's training. Mr. Larson stated the
owners have held a liquor license for 18 years and have not had any violations. In response to a
question from the Judge, Mr. Larson briefly described the premises.
Mr. Shigetoshi stated only the cashier will be responsible for the sale and service of alcohol. He stated
he and his wife will attend Officer Younger's training and will be responsible for training the cashier.
Mr. Shigetoshi stated he will terminate any employee found in violation of the liquor code. He stated
the cashier will be closely supervised.
Judge Lane approved the transfer of ownership of Griller's Global Cafe, 706 South College Avenue,
from Griller's Global Cafe, Inc., to Shige Corporation, and Trade Name Change to Gohan Time,
contingent upon proof of training being filed with the City Clerk's Office.
