LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY
Regular Meeting - July 23, 1980
7:30 P.M.
A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held on Wednesday,
July 23, 1980, in the Council Offices of the City of Fort Collins Municipal
Building. Roll call was answered by the following members: Bujack, Long,
Seegmiller and Wilson.
Absent: Authority member Renz.
Staff Members Present: Sgt. Bob Mason, Police Department

Minutes of the Regular Meeting of
June 25, 1980, Approved as Published
Authority member Long made a motion, seconded by Authority member Wilson to
approve the minutes of the regular meeting of June 25, 1980, as published.
The Chairman put the motion which was unanimously adopted.
Renewals Approved for the Following Locations:
Act I, Ltd., 215 Foothills Parkway
Applegates Landing, 2705 S. College Ave.
Chesterfield, Bottomsley and Potts, 1415 W. Elizabeth
Gondolier Restaurant, 746 N. College Ave.
Foothills Discount Liquors, 111 W. Monroe
ObydAAs Sandwich Shop, 822 S. College Ave.
Sandwich Board, 231 Walnut
Jefferson Market, 622 N. College Ave.
Town Pump, 124 N. College Ave.
Pobre Panchos, 1802 N. Colleae Ave_
Authority member Long made a motion, seconded by Authority member Bujack to
approve the above listed renewal applications. The Chairman put the motion
which was unanimously adopted.
3.2% Special Events Permit Approved
for Holy Family Church, 326 N. Whitcomb

Authority member Long made a motion, seconded by Authority member Bujack to
approve the 3.2% Special Events Permit for Holy Family Church to be held on
August 1 and 2. The Chairman put the motion which was unanimously adopted.
Transfer of Ownership of the Retail Liquor
Store License at Campus West Liquors,
1107 City Park Avenue, Approved
Jerry Richardson, 4512 Moccasin Ct., Laporte, and John Musa, 3013 Eastborough,
partners in the new ownership, appeared and explained their involvement in the
operation of the store. They noted that they had taken over on July 1 and were
working under a management agreement with Robert Ditzfeld, the former owner.
Both men detailed their previous work experience and noted their business
experience particularly with the sale of alcoholic beverages. They briefly
discussed a proposed expansion of their licensed premises and were asked to
bring the plans for the expansion to the August 20 meeting.
Authority member Long made a motion, seconded by Authority member Bujack to
approve the transfer of ownership of the Campus West Liquors to Jerry Richardson
and John Musa. The Chairman put the motion which was unanimously adopted.
Final Reolutions Adopted for:
Tavern License for Bear & Whale Tavern, 244 Pine
Class A, 3.2% Fermented Malt Beverage License for
Columbine Cafe, 647 S. College Ave.
Class A, 3.2% Fermented Malt Beverage License for
Upper Crust, 2601 S. Lemay Ave..
The three Resolutions were read by title only.
Authority member Long made a motion, seconded by Authority member Wilson to approve
the three Resolutions as presented. The Chairman put the motion which was
unanimously adopted.
Police Report
Sgt. Mason noted that he had closed the former Lewis & Clark, now operating as
Doug's Rendezvous, 822 S. College, because they had no valid license on the
premises. Since then, they have cleared up the back State sales tax that was
holding up the renewal of the Lewis & Clark license and are now open again,
operating under a management agreement with Richard 6oehring until the transfer
of ownership can be processed. The Authority will be considering the transfer at
the August 20th meeting.
Adjournment
Authority member Long made a motion, seconded by Authority member Seegmiller to
adjourn the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
