LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY MINUTES
Regular Meeting — October 18, 2000

A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held on Wednesday, October 18, 2000, in
Municipal Court, Justice Center, 201 LaPorte. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding.
Staff in attendance: Greg Tempel, Assistant City Attorney
Aimee Jensen, Deputy City Clerk
Consideration of an Application from the
Old Town School of Performing Arts,
for a Special Events Permit
at 328 Remington Street. Approved
Michael Gaines, Old Town School of Performing Arts representative, summarized his testimony from
the October 16, 2000 hearing. He stated this is a non-profit organization and that this is a fund-raiser
to restore the building. Mr. Gaines emphasized that their clientele is not college -aged.
Steve Levinger, neighborhood representative, stated he and Mr. Gaines have reached an understanding
and that he is no longer opposed to the issuance of this Special Events Permit.
Judge Lane approved the Application from the Old Town School of Performing Arts for a Special
Events Permit at 328 Remington Street.
The meeting adjourned at 2:05 p.m.
