Regular fleeting - July 25, 1979
7:30 P.M.
A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held on Wednesday,
July 25, 1979, in the Council Chambers of the City of Fort Collins Municipal
Building. Roll call was answered by the following members: Long, Seegmiller
and Renz.
Absent: Bean and Wilson.
Staff Members Present: St. Bob Mason, Police Department
Wanda Krajicek, Deputy City Clerk
Pete Ruggiero, Assistant City Attorney
Minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 27, 1979,
Approved as Published
Authority member Long made a motion, seconded by Authority member Seegmiller
to approve the minutes as published. The Chairman put the motion which was
unanimously adopted.
Final Resolutions Approved for:
Class C, 3.2% Fermented Malt Beverage
License for B-cubed, 3524 S. Mason;
Class A, 3.2% Fermented Malt Beverage
License for ObydAAs, 822 S. College Ave.,
and Class C, 3.2% Fermented Malt Beverage
License for E1 Bandido, 1232 W. Elizabeth
Authority member Long made a motion, seconded by Authority member Renz to
adopt the above Final Resolutions. The Chairman put the motion which was
unanimously adopted.
Renewals Approved for the Following Locations:
Foothills Discount Liquors, 111 W. Monroe
Act I, 215 Foothills Parkway
Chesterfield, Bottomsley & Potts, 1415 W. Elizabeth
Pelican Fish, 3512 S. Mason
Authority member Long made a motion, seconded by Authority member Renz to
approve the above listed renewals. The Chairman put the motion which was
unanimously adopted.

3.2% Special Events Permit Approved
for Eyeopener's Kiwanis, September 29, 1979
Oktoberfest
Greg Ledesma, 2049 Sherrell Drive, incoming vice-president of Eyeopener's
Kiwanis, appeared to explain their plans for the Oktoberfest.
Authority member Renz made a motion, seconded by Authority member Long to
approve the 3.2% Special Events Permit for Eyeopener's Kiwanis for
September 29, 1979. The Chairman put the motion which was unanimously
adopted.
Preliminary Hearing on a Beer and Wine
License for Northside NOSH,
173 N. College Avenue, Boundaries Adopted
Robert Bankirer� 1605 Lakeridge Court, asked if the boundaries could be
designated as follows:
North from the subject premises to Vine;
West from the subject premises to Shields;
South from the subject premises to Mulberry;
East from the subject premises to Lemay extended north.
Authority member Renz made a motion, seconded by Authority member Long to
adopt the boundaries as described above. The Chairman put the motion which
was unanimously adopted.
Preliminary Hearing on a Hotel -Restaurant
License for the Cowpaddy,
169 N. College Avenue, Boundaries Adopted
Pat O'Reilly, 914 Cottonwood, Loveland, appeared and noted that the boundaries
as proposed by the administration were acceptable to him. Those boundaries
were:
North from the subject premises to the City Limits;
West from the subject premises to Shields;
South from the subject premises to Prospect;
East from the subject premises to Lemay extended north.
Authority member Renz made a motion, seconded by Authority member Long to
adopt the boundaries as proposed by the administration. The Chairman put
the motion which was unanimously adopted.

Transfer of Ownership and Renewal of
the 3.2% Fermented Malt Beverage License
of the Town Pump, 124 N. College Avenue, Approved
Gary Kimsey, Poudre Park, Bellvue, explained that he had purchased the
interest of his former partner, Ron Heard,and was now the sole owner.
Authority member Long made a motion, seconded by Authority member Renz
to transfer the ownership and renew the 3.2% license of the Town Pump,
124 N. College Avenue. The Chairman put the motion which was unanimously
adopted.
Transfer of Ownership of the Beer and Wine
License of the Gondolier, 746 N. College Avenue,
Approved
Arthur Clarke, 7197 Hiway 14, appeared to explain his plans for the
Gondolier as the new owner. He noted his previous work experience and
background and noted he planned no major changes.
Authority member Long made a motion, seconded by Authority member Renz
to approve the transfer of ownership as described. The Chairman put the
motion which was unanimously adopted.
Transfer of Ownership of the Retail Liquor
Store License of Johnny's Liquors,
111 W. Prospect, Approved
Gerald Blake, 1507 Rollingwood, explained that they were incorporating
their business for tax purposes and were adding his brother, Franklin,
to be the third member of the corporation. Frank will not be a stockholder
and no changes are being made to the operation of the store.
Authority member Renz made a motion, seconded by Authority member Long to
approve the transfer of ownership as described. The Chairman put the motion
which was unanimously adopted.
Adjournment
Authority member Long made a motion, seconded by Authority member Renz
to adjourn the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
