The Board of Trustees of the Fort Collins Publis Library met at
4 p.m, in the Auditorium Club Room. Mrs. Coffin, the President,
presided.
Minutes of the December 17 meeting were approved as read.
Mrs. Coffin reported on a meeting of Mr, and Mrs. Ruff, Ron
Ruff, Mr. Bvans, Mrs. Coffin and Mrs. Garrison, Tuesday evening,
January 15 regarding behavior of Ron Ruff in the Library.
Mrs. Coffin reported on a conference with Mr. Agee regarding
behavior of High School students in the Library. It was the
consensus of the Board that the Public Library is not to be
used as a study hall by students due to the limited facilities.
Rules of behavior were read (see added page to minutes).
Mr. Emry moved the regulations be adopted and publicized; the
motion was seconded and carried.
Mrs. Stoner asked for permission to discontinue Story Hour for
children due to poor attendance. It was suggested the Library
try having the Story Hour less frequently.
Father Coverley suggested the Library Board send a letter to
the Chief of Police requesting protection at the Library after
9 p.m. every night for children waiting for parents. No action
was taken,
The secretary was asked to write Mrs. Thompson a letter of thanks
for her service at the Library.
The meeting adjourned.

Beginning January 28th all junior and senior high school students
will be required to show his library card at the Public Library
desk between 7 and 9 p.m., and if the card is not available a V
fee will be charged to obtain his number from the file.
In order to serve the adults more adeauately and due to limited
space the Public Library Board is requesting that junior and senior
high school students use the library for reference work or circulat-
ing materials only and not as a study hall.
Provisions must be made prior to going to the Library for your
family to call for you before closing time at 9 p.m.
The number of books checked out by one patron shall be limited to
6 (not to deplete the supply on any one subject) and magazines and
pamphlets to 5.
Vocational material checked out by one patron shall be limited to
one packet and 1 pamphlet or 2 pamphlets.
Books may be renewed by phone but not after they are overdue one week.
