The Library Board met in the Board Room at 3:30 p.m.
Mrs. Coffin announced a District Trustees' meeting to be held at the
Armstrong Hotel March 19 and 20 and urged all trustees
to attend.
It was agreed to spend the State Aid money ($760) for books for the
Juvard le Department.
Mrs. Thornburg presented rules drawn up by the Staff on library procedure
for. the children's department. Mr. Strahle moved these rules be adopted
as presented. The motion was seconded and carried.
It was decided to request Mr. Baasch,,who would liketopaint the alphabet
and numbers to hand on the gall in the juvenile raom, to submit a sample
of the work before going ahead with it.
There was an inquiry by,Chief,Hollady, who is chairman of a committee on
Human Relations, as to whether the Library would accept books bought
on this subject. Mr. F.arvey moved that the Library would be happy to
accept the offer of books ,on Human Relations. The motion was seconded
aryl carried.
Mrs. Bennett moved that the Library have Mr. Kechter make a table costing
about $100 to be placed in front of the catalog for the convenience of
patrons. . , . . I , ,
The motion was seconded and carried.
