!na Library Board met in the Roard Room at 4 p.m.
Mrs. Coffin presided. A motion was made to dispense with the read-
ing of the minutes. It was seconded and carried.
Mrs. Coffin reported that the Library had received $500 from the
estate of Anna T. Baker, half of which was designated for the County
Library. Mr. Harvey moved that the Board accept the suggestion of
Mrs. Thornburg that the money be used to purchase books for the adult
collection. The motion was seconded and carried.
A discussion was held concerning suggestions made by a recent state
fire inspector. Farther discussion was to be held.
Mrs. Thornburg reported sending letters to 23 schools of Library Science
notifying the; that the position of Librarian in the local Library is
open. She reported receipt of one application. No action was taken on
the application.
