The Board of Directors met in the Board Room at the Library at 4 p.m.
After discussing the parking problem in back of the Library it was decided to
put up a sign saying "Parking reserved for Bookmobile and Library Employees."
Mr. Strahle moved that the Librarian file an application for State Aid for
the next year, using the funds for books. The motion was seconded and
carried.
After a discussion of personnel policies, Mr. Strahle moved that Library
Personnel Policies be made•to conform to those of the City in so far as
the policies are not inconsistant with the City. The motion was seconded
aid carried.
Mr. Strahle reported on a meeting with the County Commissioners concerning
the merger of the two libraries. The same situation exists with no further
developments.
Rules pertaining -to -part-time employees were discussed. City rules state
that part-time employees, after being employed one year, receive two weeks
vacation with pay. After six months, salary is automatically raised to the
next step.
Insurance on loan pictures was discussed. If a patron damages a picture
who should pay for it? It was decided to put a notation on each picture
stating that the patron is liable for the good condition of that picture
and is expected to pay any damage. I . • ••I
