Mrs. V. 0. Coffin presided at a called meeting of the Board of the library.
Members interviewed Lawrence L. Webber of Denver, who was applying for the job
of Director of the library.
Following the interview with Mr. Webber and consideration of his references,
Mr. Harvey moved the position be offered to the applicant. Mr. Strahle seconded
the motion which was carried unanimously.
Mrs. Ronco moved, seconded by Mr. Strahle, that the position of Director of the
library be considered a full-time city position, the entire salary being paid
from the city library funds. The motion Was carried unanimously.
The Board instructed Mrs. Thornburg to remind members of the staff that they
are to call the city police as soon as it becomes evident that there is a
breakdown in discipline among students using the library.
The meeting was a4journed.
