Mrs. V. 0. Coffin presided at the regular meet-ing of the City Library
'card.
Minutes of the previouw meeting were read and approved.
Mrs. Grace :homburg reported that the application for State Aid must
be submitted by J�ily 5, 1966. Last year the local library received
approximately $1,916. Mr. Strahle made a motion, seconded by Mr. Harvey,
that application be made agair_ this year. The motion carried.
Mr. Harvey reported progress of the proposed'merger of the city and
county libraries.
The meeting was adjourned.

Mrs. V. 0. Coffin presided at the special meeting of the City Library Board.
Copies of the Survey by the State Library were distributed.
Mrs. Coffin reported that the City Manager, Mr, Coffey, wants to
schedule a night meeting, July 20 or 21 with City Council, County
Commissioners, City Library Board, County Library Board and
representatives from the State Library for discussion on the Survey.
It was the consensus of the Board that this meeting be postponed
until an agreement had been reached between the City and County
Boards in terms of the current proposal. Mr. Strahle and Mr. Harvey
are going to confer with Mr. Coffey concerning the postponement.
The County proposal along with Mr. Harvey's comments were 'resented
by Mr. Strahle.
Mrs. Coffin introduced the question concerning the situation arising
from the fact that three City employees, Grasmick, McQuiddy and Spicer
receive partial salary from County. Discussion followed and it was
resolved to meet at earliest convenience with the County Board to
rectify :the situation.
