HomeMy WebLinkAboutLibrary Board - Minutes - 09/28/1967September 28, 1967 Mrs. Sarah Bennett presided at the regular meeting of the Fort Collins Public Library Board. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. It was reported that the Board's request for protective grills for the basement windows in the Library was denied by the City Council. Mr. ?•:ebber reported that the cost for circulation from the Bookmobile during the summer months was 17 cents per book. He also stated that only 5,737 books were circulated from the Bookmobile from June 12 to August 18 in comparison to 6,031 from Sept. 12 to 27. A letter of resignation from Kay Mciluiddy was read and accepted by the Board. Mr. Webber reported that Mrs. Diana Rautela had been hired as catalog assistant to replace Mrs. McQuiddy and Miss Joy Means had been hired as cataloger to fill Mrs. Grasmick's position, Mrs. Grasmick having resigned in August. Mrs. Bennett read a letter received from Mr. James Guyer. Mr. Guyer suggested cataloging the paintings of Frank Miller as a project for the welfare of the community and the Library. Mrs. -Bennett offered to discuss the project with the Arts and Humanities Council. Discussion from preceeding Board meetings continued in regard to the formation of a non-profit corporation or a trust fund for gifts to the Library. The meeting adjourned.
