?o::ise Ronco read the minutes of the last meeting and they were approved.
..r. Reed's sala_^y as custodi-^ was increased to $143 monthly. Mr. Cook
ratio d a:.d has been replaced by Mr. Benton. His salary is $125 monthly.
Xr. '::ebber is to check with the service center about obtaining protective
screening for certain windows and to get estimates on the window repair.
These will be submitted to Mr. Baker.
irs. Ronco proposed using appropriate space for a limited number of
patrons to use either typewriters or tape recorders in doing research.
This is to be for a trial period of one month. Mr. Williams seconded the
motion and it was passed.
The discrepancy in the phone bill was explained as being due to main
tainence of the city switchboard.
A total of 583 books were returned during "Bring Back Book Without a Fine
'.•leak".
The City Council has reappointed Sarah Bennett to the Board.
The Possibility of a City Documents and Business section to the Library was
discussed. This addition would require another staff member.
A letter from Mr. Coffee raised the question of -having the Library open on
S .day. Mr. Webber will show him the statistics obtained from a period
several years ago when this was tried.
Borad meetings will be held the second Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m.
