Fort Collins Librsry hoard July 30, 1969
?:inutes of the meeting of Nay 21 were read and approved.
Cid nusiness: Mrs. Ronco and Mrs. Henry had reviewed the book, Fioys
and Sex, which had been questioned as suitable. They found it was
suitable and felt that it should be available in the library.
Various safety hazards about the library had been reported and
the roof over the outside stairway to the basement had been covered.
Fire escapes and fire -proofing of the book elevator from the basement
have been requested.
New business: Possible change in the driveway into the library grounds
was discussed. It was moved by Kr. Williams, seconded by Mr. Watrous,
that the Board go on record as opposed to any change from the
present design. Unanimously approved,
Also discussed was the handling of printed material from Qommunist
and Anti-commur_ist sources. It was agreed that such material should
be kept on file for the use of students and others particularly
interested who might seek reference material.
The proposed 'budget for the coming year was carefully considered.
Some revisions were suggested and the revised form was approved.
Postponed until the August meeting was Mr. webber's report of the A.L.A.
meeting which he had attended.
'The next meeting of the Board will be held on the third Wednesday at
the usual time and place.
