The Board met in special session to consider the proposed budget for 1973, as presented
by Mr. ::ebber. It was discussed line by line and accepted for presentation to the
City. Minor additions were suggested for the letter of transmittal.
Present: Sarah Bennett, Lois Henry, Louise Ronco, Grace Thornburg, Frank Johnson, and
L. Webber.
Also discussed was an open house for members of the Council, tentatively set for
July 24 but changed to July 31.
Guests present July 31: Mrs. Mabel Preble and Dr. Preble, Mr. and Mrs. William Lopez,
and Mr. Peterson.

An informal meeting was held with Acting City Manager Di Tullio regarding the budget.
Present: Mr. Webber, Mrs. Thornburg, Mrs. Bennett, Mrs. Henry, and Mr. Watrous.
August 3, 1972
The Board met in executive session at the home of Sarah Bennett, Present: Sarah Bennett,
Lois Henry, Louise Ronco, Frank Johnson, and David Watrous.
The subject considered was salary to be recommended for Mr. Webber, Librarian. When
The Board requested the use of a city car for the library it was emphasized that
would be considered as part of a salary increase. It was agreed that in addition a
3% increase should be requested (present salary: $12,000). .This was passed with
four yes and one no vote.
