The Board of the Fort Collins Public Library met in regular session at 7:30 p.m. in the
Children's Rooin. Present were Louise Ronco, Lois Henry, David Watrous, Gi.ace Thornburg
and Larry Webber. Absent: Sarah Bennett and Frank Johnson. Mrs. Ronco, Vice President,
preside.;.
Minutes oY the April meeting were read and approved.
Mr. Web'.:er reported that mature persons were on duty during the late hour on Saturday.
He also reported that the Story Hour Workshop had been very successful, with oti-,er centers
plannin, similar affairs.
Letters covering recent inspections by the Fire Department were presented. These
regulctions, all of which are in areas controlled by City Departments rather than
the Uhrary Board.
Mr. Webber reported information was being secured so bids could be asked for both micro-
film equipment and card catalog.
Because the June meeting will of necessity be occupied with budget matters, the Board
asked that the visit of Camp Fire volunteers be postponed, but expressed gratitude for
their services.
Mr. Webber and Mrs. Thornburg presented a tentative organization chart for the library
staff, and suggested job analyses for an Assistant Director or Administrative Assistant.
Mr. Webber was authorized to place an ad in the Denver Post and the State Library's list-
4 P.g service, and to contact personnel sources in neighboring states. He and Mrs.
Thornburg were asked to check applications on file and select their choices.
Further consideration of applicants will be made at the June meeting when it is hoped
all board members will be present.
