Regular Meeting - March 17, 2003

A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held on March 17, 2003 in Municipal Court,
Justice Center, 201 LaPorte. Judge Kathleen M. Lane Presiding.

Agenda Review
Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated that there was no representative for Bison Liquor show -cause hearing
present.
Request from Big Daddy's, LLC dba Braddy's Downtown Restaurant, to Change,
Alter, or Modify the Licensed Premises, located at 160 West Oak Street, Approved
Don Braddy, applicant, briefly described the petitioning process. He stated he will not serve alcohol in
the middle of the patio walkway and added that the hostess stand has full visibility of the patio. He
stated the fence will be 40 inches high and staff is trained to watch that alcohol is not passed over the
fence.
Judge Lane approved the request from Big Daddy's, LLC dba Braddy's Downtown Restaurant, to
change, alter, or modify the licensed premises but will hold off on signing the modification until final
information is received from Mr. Braddy.
Motion to impose 4 days held in abeyance for FirstFish, LLC,
dba Sullivan's Tavern, 820 City Park Avenue Approved
Judge Lane approved the motion to impose 4 days held in abeyance for FirstFish, LLC, dba Sullivan's
Tavern, 820 City Park Avenue.

Hearing on a New Application from FirstFish, LLC, for a Tavern Liquor
License at Sullivan's Sports Tavern, 820 City Park Avenue, Approved
Pete Borba and Art McDaniels, representatives for FirstFish, LLC were sworn. They stated they will
not change how the establishment is operated and that they will continue to serve full meals. Mr. Borba
stated Sullivan's is a college bar and that they i.d. every patron. He stated he meets regularly with staff
to discuss carding and over- service issues. Mr. Borba stated that there are to be no changes to the
premise from the original application. He stated that when the patio is open, a doorman is posted at
the door. Mr. Borba stated employees are aware that they will be terminated if they violate the liquor
code.
Mr. Borba briefly reviewed the petitioning process. He stated they received a high level of support for
this application.
Jude Lane adopted Resolution 2003-02, approving an application from FirstFish, LLC, dba Sullivan's
Sports Tavern, 820 City Park Avenue for a tavern liquor license.
Show Cause Hearing for Han Sun Enterprises LLC
dba Bison Liquor,1015 West Horsetooth Road, Hearing Postponed to March 31
Judge Lane noted that no representative appeared for this item.
Assistant City Attorney Ablao stated she will re -issue the show -cause notice.
