Publicity: Seymour Graham reported that the Coloradoan would be pub- lishing a box of emergency numbers periodically in the paper and would include the Human Relations Commission's number. Jim Baird asked Robert Brunton if funds could possibly be available from the City for a bilingual information brochure about the Commission. Mr. Brunton advised this has been done in other cities and could probably be done here also. He suggested distribution might be through water bill mailings, boy or girl scouts, or church groups. John McGraw is to act as liaison between the City and the Commission regarding this project. Jim Baird suggested a copy of our minutes be mailed to John McGraw as well as to Susan Hunsucker of the Coloradoan. Mrs. Hunsucker will attend several Commission meetings before publishing a feature store about the Commission. Research: A report given by Mrs. David Moore's son at the last meeting has been g vet n to —the Research Committee for investigation and future report to the Commission. This report concerns a new City Council Resolution and Ordinance for the City of Boulder against discrimination. Robert Brunton advised that the revenue sharing funds have been left in a special trust fund and suggested that the Commission's Research Committee N 0 meet with the City Manager's group immediately to set up priorities for these funds. Education: Seymour Graham suggested this Committee should get different youth groups nvo yed with human relations, particularly dealing with the under- standing of human relations. Will Scarborough is to look into furthering education of each member of the Human Relations Commission in dealing with human relations. Mrs. Atherly reported that Mrs. Norman Illsley called concerning the apparent equitable bail bonding rates set upon arrests and thinks the Commission should look into this. This was turned over to the Grievance and Investigating Committee for further study and to report at the next meeting. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned and the next meeting will be held in City Council Chambers on April 5th, 1973, at 7:30 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Jerry Templer, Secretary -2-
