John McGraw announced that Rosita Bachmann has been assigned
Affirmative Action Coordinator for the City. She willhelp
in the drafting of the Affirmative Action plan and 50% of
her time will he donated for that program for the remainder
of the 1975 year.
Ben Napheys commented that he feels concerned over the )pre_
sibility of the Human Rights Officer's job becoming a 1.
time job.
John McGraw said that once a whole populous of persons have.
become aware of the Human Rights Ordinance and have been edu-
cated on it, the number of complaints decreases, therefore
sometimes duties of the Human Rights officer can be directed
to perhaps other needed areas.
In conclusion, Mr. Napheys stated that hee hopes the basic
job of the Human Rights Officer is not spread so thin that
the officer becomes ineffective on her job of handling human
rights complaints.
The Education Committee members had previously received the
"Manual and Guidelines for the Fort Gollins Homan Rights Ordi-
nance". Ms. Bachmann commented that she hopes to submit it
to Council soon and perhaps on the ann-iversary date of the
