EMERITUS -- David Watrous. CITY COUNCIL -- Arvid Bloom. LIBRARY STAFF -- Larry Webber, Jane Davis, Robert Holzfaster. CITY STAFF -- Mike Keefe. ARCHITECTS -- Al Zeigel, Tom Hand, Dana Moore. The meeting was called to order by Sarah Bennett, Board President. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as corrected, subject to Frank Johnson's acceptance. Sarah Bennett reported on the City Council budget session. Anne Manvel reported that the library's Centennial -Bicentennial proposal had been submitted to the proper agency. Robert Burns requested of the architects that capability for a separate telephone terminal and separate power line be available at the circulation desk. Copies of Robert Rohlf's letter to Larry Webber, dated October 31, 1975, were distributed to those present. Tom Hand, from Everett/Zeigel Associates, spoke at length clarifying the points raised by Mr. Rohlf, and explaining each point and what was being done or might be done to allay Mr. Rohlf's concerns. Dana Moore, Everett/Zeigel Associates, showed a proposed color board and pictures of styles of furniture and equipment being considered for the new building. She encouraged board members to examine this material and get any comments to her as soon as possible. Wilson Wilmarth was elected board representative to the High Plains System Council, with Anne Manvel as alternate. Board members were given copies of Larry Webber's letter to City Manager Robert Brunton concerning moving the museum as rapidly as possible after completion of the new building. It was announced that Mr. Brunton wanted to meet with the board concerning furniture and equipment for the new building.
