The meeting was called to order by the Chairman at 8:00 p.m. The
minutes of last meeting were read and approved.
The Chairman advised that Mrs. Taylor from Laramie, Wyoming, advised
her that they are still trying to establish a human relations commission
there.
Ralph Braden read a complaint written by Mr. Ed Gosar, 261 S. College
Avenue, Apt. #334, Fort Collins, Colorado, concerning his being fired from
Porter Industries (cleaning service) without substantial reason. Ralph
talked with Mr. Milton Crabtree, Mr. Gosar's superintendent. He said that
Mr. Gosar was hired as crew chief, but could not communicate with the women
on the crew and could not depend on him. Mr. Gosar was hired through Job
Analysis (no longer in business). Ralph made a motion the Commission do
nothing more as could see no job discrimination. James Baird seconded.
Motion carried.
Mrs. Atherly said a Mr. Bill Egolf, 3435 S. Shields, Fort Collins,
Colorado, called in a complaint on behalf of his brother, Mike Egolf (since
left town) who on or about 17th or 18th of December, 1971, rented a floor
Jack from A-Z Rents It. When they tried to use the jack, they found a bolt
missing and could not use the jack. They returned the jack and A-Z charged
them $2.50 for rental. Dr. Preble felt like this was not within Human
Relations Commission scope of complaint hearings. Unless there was discrimina-
tion, we should not become involved. John Moore suggested he appear before
the Commission and plead his case rather than call. Suggested we table the
complaint until he appears. Ralph Braden so moved; James Baird seconded;
motion carried.
John Moore made motion that henceforth all complaints be received only
in writing or personal appearance before the Human Relations Commission.
The motion was seconded and carried.

Respectfully submitted.
