I. As there was no meeting in June, minutes from May 17 were approved.
II. Introduction of new members.
III. Committee Reports:
A.
Committee of Executive Delegation
(CED) -
No report.
B.
EEO/AA - Lucius - No report at
present,
however Lucius advised
staff of additional information requested on EEC/AA quarterly
report-
C. Police - Rosemary Sheridan advised that the police sub -committee
have made reccmmendation to the City Manager on the Havecost
case and have had a post mortam with Chief Glasscock and his
staff, on areas of concern. Training and education on police
Procedures was requested, which is being looked into for this
fall for Police subcommittee members.
Police Staff and Police Sub-ca mnittee will meet again the end of
September with Fred Edmonds, Police sub -committee member who was
unable to attend initial post-mort m.
D. HRC Awards Breakfast - No Report. HRC Award Breakfast was
explained to new members, advising it is an annual event which
involves an award and recognition to an outstanding business
and individual who have shown leadership and human interest in
the community.
E• CAB (HRC) - Community Action Board representatives Ted Borst,
Joanie Bibbs and Susan Szymanski were invited to explain the
Community Action Board and Human Resource Committee's activities
and time commitments needed from 3-Human Relations Commission
members of the City.

The three members the H.R.C. had on the sub -,committee have since
resigned their positions, leaving no one actively representing
the City of Fort Collins. The CAB involvement includes monthly
meeting, with 2 of the 3 C.A.B. committee members also being
active members of the Human Resource Committee sub -committee,
also meeting monthly in addition to the C.A.B. anid City H.R.C.
monthly meetings.
The time camTatment is intense, however, the commmity
enrichment and involvenent in assisting the City of Fort
Collins, Loveland and Larilner County in providing essential
human services to law income, handicapped, minority and elderly
persons, is the satisfaction.
Human Relations Commission members willing to serve on the
CAB/HRC include Rosemary Sheridan and Mary Daniel. Please
review the enclosed information on the C.A.B. as a third member
is still needed and will be decided upon at the retreat.
F. Human Relations Commissicr/Coamnission on the Status of Women Work
Project - No report.
IV. Old Business
Information Brochure - Lucius Drake The draft brochure was
distributed to HRC members for review. It was decided to discuss
further at retreat for possible drawings/sketches on cover of
brochure. Brochure printing nay be delayed until it is decided
whether H.R.C. has a working budget for expenses.
V. New Business
HRC Retreat - Councilmember Susan Kirkpatrick offered her home for
the retreat. However, due to a date conflict she will be unable to
accommodate us at this time, however, wishes to extend the
invitation to sometime after February. Dates were discussed for the
retreat with August 31, 1989, 5:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. agreed upon.
Location for the retreat will be the Employee Development Conference
Room, City of Fort Collins, 200 West Maintain Avenue. Pizza will be
provided. Please bring either a side dish, dessert or beverage to
share.
