EEO/AA
■ The EEO/AA subcommittee will need to seek and tally civilian labor force data to compare against
City labor numbers.
a. If we can obtain national, state, or county breakdowns on labor force, the committee than
can make recommendations to city officials.
b. The subcommittee should breakdown the data by job classification and ethnicity.
C. This will allow the subcommittee to establish standards, which in turn will support their
recommendations.
■ The target date to have data and recommendations available to present to the City will be June
1991.
■ We would like to invite and encourage the City Council liaison to come more often to HRC
meetings. Their input and suggestions are welcomed at anytime.
■ The HRC should send greetings to all new members of the City Council, and to our first elected
Mayor.
Police Subcommittee
■ This subcommittee should start to change the hand-out (provided by the police department to
citizens who might wish to pursue a grievance). The current statements are misleading the public
to believe that this group is a citizens review board.
■ The subcommittee will continue to enhance their relationship with the police department through
month meetings with police administrators.
■ This group will need to find a way to help citizens to understand what options the public has to
address their complements and concerns. Also, citizens should be provided with information
about their rights.
_ ■ Maybe a official citizens review board should established, not necessarily this subcommittee or
the HRC.
CED
■ The video Voices' (diversity video produced by Colorado State University) has been completed.
This video could provide the CED with opportunity provide some outreach. ,
■ Calendar of events should be established and maintained by the CED.
