The regular meeting of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board was called to
order by the chairman, Mr. C. W. Peterson, at 7e00 p.m., September 21, 1971.
Dr. P.obert Pike.� was appointed chairman of the committee to study the feasi-
bility of using Lincoln 3uni6r High School for community purposes. Mr.
Don Southwick and lire. Don Donohoe were also appointed to the committee.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved.
Mr H. R. Phillips gave the budget report.
Youth baseball has asked for more space. An area west of Collinwood will
be developed to include several baseball diamonds. Actual use will be
determined later.
Plans for other parks were discussed.
An additional supervisor for Club Tico has been appointed. Re will also work
on other youth and club activities. A part-time supervisor for recreation has
also been appointed. Club Tic* is budgeted for 30 dances. So far it has
been successful. There is still a used for another youth club.
Three tennis courts and practice courts have been funiahed at Eldora Park.
This park will be dedicated in the near future.
CSU forestry students will help with plans for Warren Park and the now north -
side park.
