On -going Community Development Corp. On -going Business Improvement District On -going Garage Performance Stage On -going Business Development Program On -going Relocation of DDA Offices Done Projects such as the Opera House, Linden Hotel, and Block 31 redevelopment were a continuation of past DDA efforts for large-scale capital improvements. Others, such as the motorized trolley, centralized retail management, marketing, and business development were reflective of the Board of DirectoWtrdesire to move the Authority into programs having a positive effect on existing businesses downtown and in improving the overall environment of the central business district. Four new members were appointed to the Board of Directors in 1988: Rick Goodale, Alice Auer Connor, Carey Hewitt, and Jim Martell. Councilperson Larry Estrada was appointed as City Council liaison to the DDA for the second time and Loren Maxey served as the Council alternate. Finally, the Downtown Development Authority relocated its administrative offices to #1 Old Town Square, Suite 200, and now occupies space in the first significant project it was ever involved with.
