1994 ANNUAL REPORT
In 1994, the Downtown Development Authority was worked on, was
responsible for or participated in the following issues and
projects:
1. Renovation of the Linden Hotel and the Salvation Army
buildings;
2. Creation of a new downtown vending ordinance;
3. Downtown Hotel;
4. Sale of the Old Senior Center;
5. Redevelopment of the Harmony Mill
6. Redevelopment of the Paramount Building;
7. Redevelopment of the future Children's Mercantile
building;
8. Downtown parking;
9. Highway 287/14 Corridor Access Study;
10. Poudre RiverFest;
11. Design process for 200 block of Linden Street;
12. Development fees for small projects;
13. Dimmer's Brewpub;
14. Agreement between the DDA and the Larimer County
Enterprise Zone;
15. Poudre Riverwalk;
16. Transit Corridor;
17. Old Town Storm Drainage Improvements;
18. Redevelopment of the Colorado Building;
19. Re -use of Trillium (Burlington Northern) properties;
20. NewWest Fest;
21. Old Town Square security;
22. County Courthouse relocation;
23. Redevelopment of Old Depot on Block 22;
24. Poudre Land Use Framework.
In addition, the Downtown Development Authority reduced its
administrative operations by reducing the amount of office space
leased, reducing legal overhead, and eliminating the executive
director's position and replacing that function with an
administrative consulting service.
