The regular sonthly"meeting of the Fort Collins Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
was opened at 7a00 p.m. by the chairman, Mr. C. W. Peterson.
The minutes of the February meeting gore approved.
Mrs. Virginia Hoff, manager of Club Tico, preeented financial statements of
November end December, 1968, end January and February, 1969.
She suggested opening Clab Tiro every two Wachs during .spring. The Board approved
this suggestion and also approved staying o,3cn during the College gays weekend.
Some minor repairs Will be done on the building.
Mr. H. R. Phillips reported that Edore Park is being prepared and that a lighting
plan will :o:,n be started.
The swimming cool floor at City Park is being reinforced and rocemented. Because
of the cxtenri�c; work n:sceusary on thin floor, work on the dock and diving board
originally ac'_eduled for this year will be postponed.
The Junior iocian°s Club presented a request :or a childrenls gareen on Willow
Street. Appa:oval caar gi.von for the Club to conduct this project.
Mr. Tarry James reported that winter programs are heing concluded. He also
reported cn a toec.ahop on ravecue-producing facilities which he attended.
Several suggestions for such projects in Port Collins ware discussed and will
be discussed mere in detail at later meetings. One project of particular interest
at this time is boating on City Park Take.
Mr. Phillips reported that the long-range park program is being revised.
Ear. Phillip:, announced that the April meeting will be held in the City Council
Chambers to accommodate a CS4 class in outdoor recreation and natural resources.
The meeting was adjourned.
