W. Peterson. a+ oThe minutes of the April meeting were approved. e � V) fir. Peterson announced that Mr. Stewart Case has resigned from the Board because e2 0 of a heavy work load, and Mr. Don Southwick has been appointed to complete Mr. a Case's term of office. Mr. H. R. Phillips announced that Mr. Larry James s� W has resigned from the Parks and Recreation staff. Several members of the Fort Collins Men's Garden Club were present: Mr Gordon ?Cline, Mr. J. R. Purse, Yr•.Carl Jorgensen, and Mr. Charles Drage. Mr. Kline, chairman of the committee to complete the park in Indian Y.ills, z r stated that the club had been unable to complete plans for this park before the five-year contract with the city had expired. He asked for suggestions o c to complete the park, explaining that funds for this project will be provided co►� by the Men's Carden Club. The mountain in the park is to be planted with o native plantings to create a transition from the plains to the mountains. "a At the on lgestion of Mr. Robert Dunn, two members from the Board --Mr. Phillips and Dr. Al Pettine--:gill work with members of the Club to present a plan for wapproval of the Board by October 20. Maintenance of the park will be a M responsibility of the Parks and Recreation Department. a Mrs. Kathyick manager of Club Tico and the y . g . president of the Tian Club Board were present. Mrc. Mick reported that Club Tics was open seven times during June, July, and August. Receipts for this period totaled $1,003.30, expenses totaled $978.71, leaving a balance of $29.59. Total attendance was H 1,066. Durin3 September the Club has been open twice with $401.00 receipts sa a and $443.94 expenses. Current treasury balance is $23.80. The senior breakfast w s planned last spring for seniors was not held; the senior concert was held but 00 was not successful. Mr. Wes Sargent reported on a study he is making at both aa high schcals to determine student attitudes toward Club Ties. A final report 3 will be given at a later meeting. Air. Southwick suggested that the booster o 0 clubs of both high schools would be happy to help students in any way and H suggested that students seek this support. A motion by Dr. Pettine to change u the director at Club Ties was tabled. e w Mr. Phillips presented the revised fee list for recreation activities for 3 m 1971. Some minor adjustments were made, and the list was approved upon motion H by Yrs. Gladys Eddy and a second by Dr. Pettine. a A'problem of false information on an enrollment card for JAA football prompted a motion by Mr. Robert Dunn that in the future enrollment cards carry a statement of the rule and the penalty for breaking the rule. The motion was a a. seconded by Dr. Pettine and carried. Parents of students breaking the rule •+•+ a r+ this year will be informed of the infraction by letter. u A Mr. Phillips read the statement accompanying applications for coaching positions for youth activities.
