Regular Meeting - December 17, 2001

A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held on December 17, 2001 in Municipal
Court, Justice Center, 201 LaPorte. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding.

Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated there were no changes to the agenda.
of Valerie Bostic as
Valerie Bostic, manager applicant, stated she has been with Black -Eyed Pea for 10 years. She stated she
has had no experience in the sale and service of alcohol prior to Black -Eyed Pea. Ms. Bostic briefly
described the training she and her staff have received in the sale of alcohol. She stated a violation of
the liquor code results in immediate termination. Ms. Bostic stated she has the liquor code on premise.
Judge Lane approved the registration of Valerie Bostic as Manager of Black -Eyed Pea, 4312 South
College.
Transfer of Ownership of Prospect Liquors,
1115 West Prospect Road, # 105
from Byong ju Choi, to Young Joo Lee, Approved
Young Joo Lee, applicant, was sworn. He stated he has no employees. Mr. Lee stated he will be T.I.P.'s
trained and has read the liquor code. He stated he was trained by the previous owner, Byong Ju Choi.
Mr. Lee stated he will card all patrons who look 30 and under. He stated he will terminate anyemployee
who violates the liquor code. Mr. Lee stated the promissory note from the previous owner is not based
on a percentage of profits.
Judge Lane approved the transfer of ownership of Prospect Liquors,1115 West Prospect Road, # 105
from Byong Ju Choi, to Young Joo Lee.

Transfer of Ownership of Linden's, 212/214 Linden Street,
from Linden Blues, Inc., to Northern Consulting Group, Inc.,
and Trade Name Change to Linden's Brewing Company, Approved
Alan Witty and David Papworth, representatives for the applicant, stated they will make only cosmetic
changes to the premise. Mr. Witty and Mr. Papworth described their background. Mr. Papworth
detailed the training theywill provide their employees. He stated theywill be conduct quarterlytraining
sessions. Mr. Papworth stated patrons will be carded at the door and when they order a drink. He
stated an employee found in violation of a liquor code will be terminated.
Judge Lane approved the transfer of ownership of Linden's, 212/214 Linden Street, from Linden Blues,
Inc., to Northern Consulting Group, Inc., and Trade Name Change to Linden's Brewing Company.
Transfer of Ownership of The Colorado Grill,1113 West Drake Road,
from TNG Associates, to Multiple Ventures, LLC,
Stewart Olive, attorney representing Multiple Ventures, LLC, described the financial arrangements
concerning this transfer of ownership. He noted that David Dechant is no longer part of Multiple
Ventures, LLC.
Annette Dechant, representative for the applicant, stated her nephew, Paul Dechant will be responsible
for the daily operation of the establishment. She stated they have no plans to change the premise and
that they have the liquor code on premise.
Judge Lane approved the transfer of ownership of The Colorado Grill,1113 West Drake Road, from
TNG Associates, to Multiple Ventures, LLC, and Trade Name Change to Abuelo's Cantina.
Registration of Paul Dechant as Manager
of Abuelo's Cantina,1113 West Drake Road, Approved
Paul Dechant, manager applicant, stated there have been no changes to his application from the
October 15, 2001 meeting.
Judge Lane approved the registration of Paul Dechant as manager of Abuelo's Cantina, 1113 West
Drake Road.

Bourbon Street Bar and Grill
December 17, 2001
Assistant CityAttomeyAblao briefed the Judge on alleged violations at Bourbon Street Bar and Grill,
151 South College. She requested the Judge schedule a show -cause hearing for January 14, 2002.
Judge Lane found that probable cause exists to schedule a show -cause hearing on January 14, 2002, for
Bourbon Street Bar and Grill, 151 South College, for alleged violation of Section 12-47-301(7) of the
Colorado Revised Statutes. Judge Lane also instructed Deputy City Clerk Jensen to issue anynecessary
subpoenas.
South China Restaurant
Assistant CityAttomeyAblao briefed the Judge on alleged violations at South China Restaurant, 4613
South Mason. She requested the Judge schedule a show -cause hearing for January 14, 2002.
Judge Lane found that probable cause exists to schedule a show -cause hearing on January 14, 2002, for
South China Restaurant, 4613 South Mason, for alleged violation of Section 12-47-301(7) of the
Colorado Revised Statutes. Judge Lane also instructed Deputy City Clerk Jensen to issue anynecessary
subpoenas.
Sangria Rose Tapas Bar
Assistant CityAttomeyAblao briefed the Judge on alleged violations at Sangria Rose Tapas Bar, Bldg.
23, Old Town Square. She requested the Judge schedule a show -cause hearing for January 14, 2002.
Judge Lane found that probable cause exists to schedule a show -cause hearing on January 14, 2002, for
Sangria Rose Tapas Bar, Bldg. 23., Old Town Square for alleged violation of Section 12-47-301(7) of
the Colorado Revised Statutes. Judge Lane also instructed Deputy City Clerk Jensen to issue any
necessary subpoenas.
