previous meeting Were in the hands of all members prior to the meeting and Were
approved.
The main purpose of this meeting being a discussion of Lave and legislation
affecting the purpose and function of this Commission, Arthur March, Jr. pre-
sented a review of State and Federal laws and then led a rather thorough discussion.
Printed materials covering the topics discussed are in the hands of all members
for study and review.
Dr. Dildine reported that the C.S.U. Human Relations Committee will meet
with the new "CORE" group on campus to discuss items of mutual interest and
concern.
Dr. Dildine read a letter from Sam Martinez, Assistant Director of the
Anti Discrimination Commission of Colorado. The letter called attention to a
condition in Andersonville where a lack of transportation of Kudergarteu
children seems to be creating additional educational problems for these people.
After some discussion as to whether this is an area of concern for this Commis-
sion, Dr. Dildine appointed Tom Wilson to contact Mr. Boltz to secure facts of
this matter and report back at the next meeting.
It was suggested that we have a series of meetings with various groups
within the City to discuss human relation problems as they relate to the group.
Those organizations and groups suggested were: Companeros Americans. Realtors.
CORE, Foreign Students, Hospitality Committee, C.S.U. Human Relations Committee.
It was further suggested that the next meeting be a special one on February 2
at which time the Compaaeros Americans officers would be invited for a discussion
and other members of their group also be invited to attend. The press and radio
will be invited to these meetings.
The next regular meeting of the Commission 3s scheduled for February 15.
Please note the February 2, Special Meeting, 7:30 pm., Friendship Room, basement
