V. EEO
The EEO Committee reported that they have reviewed the Boards and
Commissions application forms and found them to be alright. In order
to increase the number of minorities who have applied, the sub -committee,
with the help of some City Council members, is actively recruiting
minorities to apply.
VI. Women's Task Force
Kathy Imel reported that the public meeting on April 9, was met with
an excellent response. There were 110 people at the meeting to discuss
issues which the task force should be working on. It seemed difficult
to keep people from providing solutions when all the problem has not
been defined.
In order to increase participation from different sectors of the community
the task force will be holding meetings in selected areas of the City.
For example: The Northside Community Center
The Day Time Senior Center
The task force will begin breaking down the major areas into workable
pieces in order to come up with solutions.
VII. Issue for next month.
Lieutenant Bud Reed of the Fort Collins Police Department has been asked
to report about the contact of police officers with juveniles.
VIII. Next month's meeting is scheduled for May 15, 1985, 4:30 p.m. in the
CIC room.
