HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION
July 17, 1985

I. In absence of chairperson Randy Ross, David Lipp conducted the
meeting.
II. Each of the Human Relations Commission Sub -Committees gave a brief
report on their activities for the benefit of the newly appointed
members.
A. E.E.O.
Sam Blanco mentioned that the committee had met last week with
City staff to discuss progress being made by the committee. Sam
gave a brief description of their activities and concerns.
Chief Glasscock reported that the information requested by the
sub- committee is not readily available and must be done by hand.
Jaime Mares announced that the information requested should be
finished by the retreat.
B. Police Sub -Committee
David Lipp provided background information on the committee's
activities for the last year. He stated that arrest information
is their latest project.
C. Women's Task Force
Paula Christina provided a brief description of the task force's
goals and objectives. She explained that the task force is
continuing work with a report for Council on women's needs in the
city.
Kathy is no longer an HRC member and therefore not the HRC liaison
to the Women's Task Force.

D. HRC Award
David Lipp gave a brief description of the HRC Award Committee
purpose. Presently there is no activity.
III. Proposals for Issue of the Month will be discussed at the retreat.
IV. Next Month's Meeting
The HRC Retreat is scheduled for September 4, 1985, 6:00 P.M.,
