II. MOTION - Approve Minutes Second Approved Unanimously

III. NEW MEMBER: Chuck Griffin - introduced himself and was welcomed.
IV. HOUSING DISCRIMINATION TESTING: Training for testing in Northern Colorado.
Two sessions: January 28th from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

February 11th or 18th from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.

Nancy Snow from Civil Rights Commission will do trainings and will
meet with three members, David Lipp, Paul Loopo, Mary Schultz, of
HRC on February llth from 12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.
V. COMMITTEES:
A. CAB - December meeting saw the board decide to be a true community
action agency. Next meeting is January 22 1987 to begin the process
of being an action agency.

B. CED - Housing Discrimination tapes from Colorado Civil Rights Division
were shown at The Square Shopping Mall January 17, 1987. They will
be shown Saturday, February 28 at the Foothills Fashion Mall.
David, Paula, Jaime, Randy, Rosemary, and Chuck have volunteered to
show it on the 28th.
- Susan Lamb will pursue showing the tapes over local cable TV.
C. AIDS - The article in the City News is still being pursued. Susan
Lamb is working on it.
D. EEO/AA - Report should be here in February and for Council in March.
E. HRC AWARD - Tentatively May 1st will be the breakfast and award.
7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. Lincoln Center, Ludlow Room.
- Deadline for application is March 31st.
- Applications will be available through Jaime and mailed out in
February.
- David Lipp will go over the mailing list.
F. POLICE -
1. Mary Schultz started a Neighborhood Watch in her neighborhood.
2. David Lipp is meeting with Jim Black next week to discuss Sheriff
grievance procedures.
G. ANTI -DISCRIMINATION -
1. Will develop means for women and minorities to participate on
boards and commissions.
2. Will put out PSA's to inform and educate the public on discrim-
ination issues.
H. COLORADO CIVIL RIGHTS COMMISSION in Boulder last November:
49 cases closed last year
109 new cases filed last year.
Increase in rate of filings has been noted.
VI. OTHER BUSINESS - Martin Luther King Day 1988 - HRC and Foothills Peace
Center could do a program next year. David will coordinate.
VII. NEXT MEETING: February 18, 1987, 4:30 p.m. City hall.
