I. Minutes for November were approved as corrected.
II. Committee reports:

A. POLICE - Mary
Quarterly meeting with Bud Reed and Chief Glasscock.
B. EEO - Sam
Sam made a short report to City Council pertaining to the EEO/AA
report from HRC to the Council.
C. CED - Steve
I. Reported on a possible budget for HRC:
2 Conferences $150.00
HRC Breakfast and 2 plaques $250.00 (lump sum)
Speaker, mileage and Cablecast - $400.00
Educational Materials No Amount
HRC Brochure No Amount
Retreat $20-25
2. Reported on restructuring of HRC.
a. Regulatory agency rather than advisory.
b. Need to have a change of powers if this (a) happens.

3. Susan asked that Commission members consider restructuring of
HRC and be prepared to make a decision at the January
meeting.

D. HRC AWARD - Louise has become a member of subcommittee.
E. MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY - David
Committee has $2,100.
Posters are now available and will be placed very soon.
F. CAB - Paul
1. Reported that proposals have been developed to apply for money
from the Government for the homeless. Requests have been
prioritized.
2. Human Resources Committee
Service providers attended a meeting with the committee to
ask for more cooperation between the two groups and a better
working relationship.
III. Old Business
Jaime will prioritize women's issues as reported by Commission
members.
Preliminary report.
1. 5 pts. #2 Under family recommendations
2. 3 pts. #2 Bilingual community outreach
3. 1 pt. Women's yellow pages (?)
IV. New Business: Steve
Letter A under Bylaws
Ed suggested videotaping of speakers
Paul suggested contacting the City Attorney's office
Subcommittee formed:
Sam, Rosemary, Louise, Steve will work on establishing a plan
to accomplish this purpose.
Also under new business, Steve moved that an opinion expressed by
one person on the HRC must be supported by five other members of
the Commission in order to be submitted as a news release.
Seconded by Louise. Passed.
