V. Committee Reports
Convention/Visitors Bureau - No Report
Lincoln Center Board - Craig Swing
No report. The Lincoln Center Board doesn't
meet during summer months.
Museum Sub -committee - Jennifer Sterling
No Report
LC/CSU Facilities Committee - Karen Warren
Work is continuing on exploring the possibility
of joint facilities. CSU staff and LC staff
meet once a month. Karen Warren, Lucia Liley,
and Roz Spencer are liasons from the community.
Arts Group - Bill Cordiner
A representative from the Colorado Council on
the Arts met with the group to discuss new
State funding guidelines.

VII. Fort Fund Grant discussion
The remainder of the evening was spent considering
grant applications and making recommendations to
City Council on funding. See attached.

STAFF
The staff has been engaged in re-evaluating the volunteer program. Improved volunteer
training manuals, applications, and evaluations will be. forth coming for collections,
museum shop and receptionists positions. Kara Kwiatkowski has been hired to replace
Jill Gardner, our hourly Museum Assistant who has accepted a permanent position at the
Hiwan Homestead. Kara will be coordinating the museum shop volunteers, managing the
gift shop, overseeing the VAX operations of the budget system and supervising. weekend
community service workers.
PHYSICAL FACILITY
MUSEUM STORAGE
Negotiations continue with Gary Suisman, publisher of the Coloradoan. The museum
anticipates this temporary museum storage would be used for oversized collections and
exhibit furniture. The Power Plant property has been leased to CSU and the current
building will be demolished in 1994.
PROGRAMS
The RENDEZVOUS was a tremendous success! Some 616 people were "estimated to
have participated. Barbecue venison sandwiches were served. Seven tepee lodges were
erected with approximately 17 mountain men re -enactors participating. The Pawnee
Nation Singers and Drummers were an added attraction this year with some 200 folks
watching that performance.

Mall Outlet Update
A major change has occurred regarding the Foothills Mall outlet. The mall management
came to the realization that the original space was difficult to make work and have
donated a much better space. The ticket outlet will now be located in one of the mall
wall stores in the hallway just to the south of Foleys: Plans are on course to open the
outlet August 16th.
ADA Renovations
Lincoln Center received a list of Renovations for ADA compliance for 1993. These
include:
Visual Alarms
Door Closures
Sinage
Floor Mats
Door Handles/Grab Bars
Doug Varone Dance Residency
Lincoln Center is sponsoring an all day dance residency with Doug Varone. The
residency will be held Saturday, July 17th. He will be conducting 3 master classes. The
residency is being held in cooperation with Fort Collins Dance Alliance, CSU, and
Canyon Concert Ballet.
Visual Arts
"Art -on -a -stick" sculpture show will be installed by June 28th. The show has been
curated by Bill Amundson and features whimsical sculpture mounted on poles.
Lincoln Center Staff has installed new overhead lighting in the garden to replace ground
lighting. Ground lighting was difficult to maintain due to lawn maintenance and
vandalism.
Bill Swets donated sculpture "Big Bird, Jr" will be permanently installed on the East side
of the Center. Cement pad has been poured and installation will take place in July.
