Regular Meeting -- February 8, 1995
CALL MEETING TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 7:05
by Board President Callie Sigl. Board Member Abby Jones called to
say she would not be able to attend tonight's meeting.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes of the meeting of January 11,
1995 were unanimously approved (7-0) on a motion by Dallas Davis,
seconded by Lois Switzer.
AGENDA REVIEW: No changes to the printed agenda.
CITIZEN PARTICIPATION: No citizen participation
OLD FORT COLLINS HIGH
At Monday's meeting the School Board will vote on the use of Old
Fort Collins High School. Peggy Bowers said to continue last
month's discussion, we need to prioritize the wish list for the
Youth Center at Old Fort Collins High and clarify it. The Board
multi -voted to express their priorities as follows:
Use of Auditorium
Concerts
Plays
Dance Classes
Singing
Fees and Charges
Food/Movies (tied for first place)
Dances (low fees)
Locker Rental
Facility Hours by Season
3:00-9:00 p.m. weekdays (school year)
11:00 a.m. to midnight weekends (school year)
11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. weekdays (summer)
11:00 a.m. to midnights weekends (summer

OTHER BUSINESS
Raphael Sandoval, Recreation Leader, spoke to the Board on
upcoming programs. He explained the spring break programs
that will be available. He also explained the employment
opportunities for 14-21 year olds.
Peggy Bowers handed out information for the April mail -in
ballots.
BOARD MEMBERS AND STAFF COMMENTS
- Dallas Davis attended a Blevins leadership meeting. Issues
the students had was busses running later. Scott Gammon said
one of the issues was to discuss Transfort. Transfort will be
on the April Agenda.
Crissy Maxwell said that she and Dallas are going to Colorado
Springs for Colorado Youth Council in March. Colorado Youth

Council is starting a newsletter and Crissy will write an
article on the Fort Collins Youth Advisory Board.
- Stacie Smith is speaking to the Student Council at Webber.
- Lois Switzer said she went to Lincoln Junior High and
distributed surveys of what the students had for concerns.
- Crissy Maxwell said she is speaking to various organizations
at CSU.
- Matt has spoken to some people at Centennial.
Callie Sigl said she went to the City Dialogue meeting. She
was the only youth representative. Jean Helburg said there
will be several phases of this in the next year.
On a motion by Reagan Hogerty, seconded by Da Davis, the Board
adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
