The Working Women's Conference will not be held this fall. Instead, the organization is directing its efforts towards a youth conference to be held in 1995. Details for this conference are still pending, however it will be tied to Poudre R-1, and will include workshops for young adults who have a career path in mind and those who aren't sure what course to follow. In addition, there will be a job shadowing component which will match an adult volunteer with a student in a year long program. The Women's Development Council is interested in the work of the Commission as well as information sharing and helping to promote each other's events. Boards and Commissions appointments will be confirmed at the Council meeting scheduled for June 21. Ninety applicants were interviewed for all boards and commissions vacancies. Appointments to the new Youth Advisory Board will be made at a later date. Approximately fifty applications have been received for this board.
