PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD
MINUTES -- REGULAR MEETING
DECEMBER 13, 1983 -- 7:00 p.m.
BOARD MEMBERS: Lloyd Spawn, President

PRESENT: LIBRARY BOARD -- Christine Kneeland, Jerry Johnson, Sarah Bennett,
Tom Sigl, Polly Walters; LIBRARY STAFF -- Jane Davis.
The meeting was called to order by the Vice-president, Christine Kneeland.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as distributed. There was
no correspondence.
Jane Davis, Library Director, distributed the statistical report for the month
of November. She told the members present that she and other staff were evalu-
ating the current statistical report format and hoping to make some changes in
it in 1984 to make it more informative and useful.
She announced that the Friends of the Library had voted to support the follow-
ing library programs during 1984:
1. Refreshments for 1984 Lecture Series $ 50
2. Print and mail brochure on memorial books $ 50
3. Print and mail brochure on library needs
for layman medical books $ 50.
4. Children's Summer Reading Program $3000
5. American Film Series:
a. for film $ 525
b. publicity and advertising $ 125
TOTAL 3800
Ms. Davis also reported that the library system upgrade purchased from Pueblo
Library District had been received and the changeover would probably be made
in mid -May.
Under old business, Ms. Davis reported that Barry Selberg, Special Projects"
Assistant for the City of Fort Collins, was hounding Columbine Cablevision about
completing the wiring of the library building. She also reminded board members
about the staff Christmas Party December 21.
Under new business, the group discussed the possibilities of remodeling the
first floor of the library building. This will also be discussed at the January
meeting.
The meeting was adjourned.
