CITY Ct_ Cultural Resources Board- Pauline Birky/Kreutzer, Jack Curfman, Martha Trimtie,
Ross Loomis, Ray Dixon, Jim Weitz
Absent: Colleen Cassell
Staff: Ellen Thexton, Brian Moroney, John McGraw, Edwina Echevarria
The meeting was called to order by Ross Loomis.
1. The minutes of the January 31 meeting were approved as written.
2. The agenda was approved.
3. James Weitz, new member of the Cultural Resources Board, was introduced.
4. Staff Reports
a. Ellen Thexton presented to the Board a background on the Fort Collins
Symphony Orchestra/Colorado Festival Orchestra plans and announced that a
meeting is scheduled on March 2 for the purpose of discussion.
b. Referring to Ellen Thexton's request for a policy statement from the
Board on initiating new programs at Lincoln Community Center (See Item 3a.,
January 31, 1979, minutes), Ross Loomis suggested that the Board ogre up with
an interim policy by next month's CRB meeting. Mr. Loomis, Pauline Birky/
Kreutzer and Jim Weitz volunteered to be on the committee for this purpose.
C. Mrs. Thexton announced that LCC's facilities manager, Bob Kirtley,
resigned and that she is assuming that role temporarily.
d. Brian Moroney, Museum Manager, reported that there were 1430 visitors
to the Museum in January of 1979.
Mr. Moroney then updated the Board on the Museum's roof problem.
Someone -announced that Flatirons Paving Company was buying the Rigdon
Farm property and a certain woman would like to see if something can be done
to preserve the buildings on the property. Ross Loomis volunteered to get
together with Mrs. Thexton to compile a list of contact names to give to the
concerned party.
5. LCC Guild
Mrs. Thexton asked Mrs. Birky/Kreutzer to add the CRB member§' names and
the LCC office to the LOC Guild newsletter list.
Mrs. Thexton announced that the LCC Guild Hostess Committee has taken
the responsibility of organizing receptions for the Fine Arts Series performances.
6. Information for City Council candidates
A suggestion was made and the Board concurred that it would be appropriate
and helpful for all concerned to invite the newly -formed City Council to a
CRB meeting and a tour of LOC after the April election.

7. Other Business
Ray Dixon announced that Avery House dedication and open House is
scheduled for July 21, 1979. (Note; This date later changed to July 8,1
