Call to order (Bill Kneeland) 5:35 PM II. Consideration of tonight's agenda No changes III. Consideration of minutes of Oct. 23, 1991 Craig Swing moved to accept Alison White seconded Passed unanimously IV. Administration Expenses, Fort Fund Mr. Siever reported that no money comes from development office for their administration costs, as they are just a pass-thru account for the tax revenues. After discussion, the Board decided that they would like to approach the Fort Fund costs as a supplemental request in the 1993 budget process for covering the Fort Fund administration expenses. V. Work Plan 1992 Bill Kneeland presented the draft work plan worked out by Jane Nevrivy, Bill Kneeland, and David Siever. Changes were made to reflect that the funding session for Fort Fund is June, not July. The wording of task force was changed to Steering committee. Wording under Community Cultural Plan 417 West Magnolia Street • Fort Collins, CO 80521-2646 • (303) 221-6735 • FAX (303) 484-0424 • was changed to read "Advocate for a community cultural plan". The funding and Steering committee wording was deleted. The Board liked the more streamlined approach to the 1992 work plan. Karen Warren asked that the Board be sent a copy of the 1991 work plan. Jane Folsom moved acceptance of 1992 plan Kathryn Stubler seconded Passed unanimously VI. Cultural Policy Update Board was reminded of the work session on January 9, 1992, at 4:30 pm, in the Lincoln Center to discuss draft of City Cultural Policy. Dinner will be provided. A copy of the draft policy will be sent to members after January 1st. VII. Plan -To -Plan Steering Committee Craig Swing asked whether we should start discussing how to go abut selecting a steering committee (citizens group) i.e. number of people, timing of appointment, how interviews would be handled, makeup of committee, etc. Could the steering committee be directed to form an umbrella organization for the arts? Jane Folsom suggested that we could bring possible names to the January 9th meeting. Should we ask people or take applications. We would need job description/mission statements. Council needs to approve the process. Should we have two separate committees - one for fund raising, one for community plan. No final decisions were made except that we shouldn't get too detailed in our work plan due to the fact that given the above discussion, the process could take many different directions. VIII. Karen Warren and Evan Hyatt will conduct the meeting. One West - Mr. Powers explained the process and handed out the memo which Council received. Discussion was held as to whether the Board should have been involved with the request from One West. Consensus was that the Board would have liked to have had a special meeting to discuss the issue, however, they understand how the process works. Everyone felt that it was a good discussion. Old Fort Signage - Jane Folsom brought up the fact that four signs originally marked the corner boundaries of the Fort Site. Two of them need to be replaced.
