FIRST FLOOR GALLERY DEMO
Demolition of the first floor permanent gallery was completed in June to make way for the new
exhibit titled: "Flood! Fort Collins Surges." The new exhibit uses the metaphor of a flood to
describe the waves of people who have moved to this area and made it their home. The old, 25
year -old exhibit cases were removed and the gallery cleared for painting and carpet cleaning.
Staff will spend the summer constructing and installing Phase I of the exhibition, which is
scheduled to open in September. Phase II, which includes a Flood of Technology section and
resource room will open in fall 2003.
