II. Consideration of the agenda - No changes
III. Approval of minutes from the meeting of September 17, 1998
Ms. Sternlieb moved to approve the minutes, as amended.
Ms. Liska-Smith seconded.
Approved unanimously.
IV. Citizen Participation
None
V. Case Park
Janet Miesel of the City of Fort Collins Parks Planning department presented the current
status and the City's plan for the future of Case Park. The park is partially completed and will be
phased in over a number of years. Ms. Miesel made several suggestions for incorporating art into
the park. After discussion, it was the consensus of the board to work with the students at nearby
Fort Collins High School. There is approximately $2,640 currently available for the project.
Mr. Lynxwiler moved to approach Poudre School District to work with Art in Public Places
• on incorporating art into Case Park.
Ms. Sternlieb seconded.

Approved Unanimously.
Staff will return to the next meeting with a report on the feedback received from the school.
VI. Civic Center
Ms. Martin distributed a handout explaining the art projects in progress or planned for the
new City Civic Center.
Mr. Reno moved to approve up to $5000 for a design consultant on the new City office
building.
Ms. Liska-Smith seconded.
Approved Unanimously.
Staff will update the board on the progress of the Transit Center at the next board meeting.
VIL Community Art Plan
This item was tabled to the November meeting.
VIII. Staff Reports
Ms. Martin distributed a staff report. The board commented on the report and asked
questions. Ms. Martin explained that there will need to be a special APP meeting in December to
review the Downtown Art Project proposals. Mr. Lynxwiler reported on the Art in Public Places
meeting in Longmont. Ms. Martin reported that the City will be adding a contractual position for
administrative support.
IX. Other business
Mr. Lynxwiler suggested that staff develop an evaluation form for design artists and the
City or private firms that work with them.
