III. Approval of minutes at the special meeting on December 2, 1998
Mr. Lynxwiler moved to approve the minutes, as amended

Approval of minutes from the meeting of November 19, 1998

IV. Citizen Participation
None
V. Civic Center Parking Structure
Artist David Griggs explained the parameters of the project and showed his terrazzo floor
and stair treads designs that focus on the main entrance/exit tower of the Parking Structure. A
question and answer session followed the presentation.

Ms. Sternlieb moved to recommend proceeding with the project by directing staff to acquire
separate bids on Mr. Griggs' designs for the terrazzo floors and Medallion(s).
Mr. Sherman seconded

VI. Four Corners Project
Ms. Martin showed the board slides of Andrew Dufford's design work on the Four Comer Project
and cost estimates to implement the art. A question and answer session followed the presentation.
Ms. Sternlieb moved to recommend the project to City Council.

Mr. Lynxwiler moved to ask staff to proceed with a contract to hire Mr. Dufford to install
the Bronze pavers.

Staff will get an estimate of a medallion sidewalk "fence" and inform Mr. Dufford of the change in
design of the streetlights.
VII. Case Park
Ms. Martin updated the board on the progress made on the project to date. The Fort Collins High
School Art Teacher, Judi Bassani, is excited about getting involved. There will be a meeting at 4
p.m. January 8 at Fort Collins High School to share ideas and decide how to proceed with the
project. Ms. Dale will be the liaison to that project. Mr. Lynxwiler and Ms. Gram will participate if
possible.
VIII. Staff Reports
Ms. Martin distributed a written staff report. The board commented on the report and asked
questions. Ms. Martin also informed the board that there were four applicants for the Art in Public
Places board vacancy.
IX. Other Business
The day and time of the regular meeting was discussed.
Mr. Sherman moved to change board meetings to 4 p.m. the third Wednesday of the month
