Reports Legal/Econ. report Jim Banning shared draft of letter to Council, discussing findings of Quality of Life Survey. Presented by Cindy Hoff Basic Needs I Valerie Mauksch reported on Wom'bn's Resource Center at Library and presented a rough draft of informative brochure. Outreach Elder Care Presentation to Commission Video cassette on Womens issues Naming public places after women. Meeting/ Speakers Presented by Janet Abbey I. Women's Center to present undeter- mined program for Women's History Month. 2. Question: Does the Commission wish to sponsor or co-sponsor another prog. for Women's History Month. Alma presented a draft of an invitation to City council Members to attend Feb. meeting. 20-30 minute presentation to be made 1/25/88 meeting. 1. Awareness of groups/resources 2. What we see as visible needs. A written outline of content of tapes would be useful to viewers. Loren Maxey suggested that the Comm. recommend that Fort Collins public places/streets be named after deserving women. 1/8/88, 5:00pm. Larimer County Task Force meeting - Employment issues. Business and Professional Women meeting Copy of letter sent tc the press, Econ.Opp. Adv.Comm., United Way, Johnie Pearson, Fort Collins Inc., Chamber of Commerce, LC Human Development Dept. Specific Recommenda- tions are to go to City Council to implement Task Force issues. March 10 will be opening with program. Janet to investigate possibilities.
