HomeMy WebLinkAboutGolf Board - Minutes - 03/15/1972GOLF BOARD M=1NG • March 15, ,1972 COLUNDALE CLUBHOUSE The meeting was called to order by the President, Wilbur Garfield. The minutes of the February meeting users read and approved. Bill Matter reported on the status of the lockers and indicated that they bad been ordered and would be available by the middle of April. a total of 43 lockers were ordered. The Board discussed a request from Don &nab, President of Kodak Colorado Division Golf League, for a 9 bole rate for substitutes for their league, which is scheduled to play at Collindele on Thursdays. Motion was made by Doug Phillips and seconded by Jack Washichek, denying a special 9 bole rate. Making a change of rates would be setting a precedent and It was felt that there are too many organizations and that we should adhere to the approved fees. The Board requested Bill Metier for Collindele and Randy Byers for City Park Nine to start setting starting times, effective March 16th. Another request %as received from Roo Wilcox, Chairman of Special Events for the Larimer County Cancer Drive, to hold a tournament on Monday, June 12th at Collindele. Motion was made by Stew Case and seconded by Gary Garwood, to approve this tournament as per latter from Boo Wilcox and regular golf green fees would be paid and that arrangements for the tournament be worked out by Bin Metier. Soms discussion was bald on the Invitational Golf Tooraamant and what to charge players and =want of money to be planned for prizes. Wilbur Garfield approved a committee of Randy Byers, Bill Metier, Gary Garwood and Re R. to make a report at the April meating. The electric cart bid was discussed and it wen agreed that a special , meeting would be called by the Board to recommend type of cart for rental. Several persons have called about the fee of private carts when playing at Collindele. Stow Case made a motion and Gary Garwood seconded, that we leave the private cart fee as approved by the Board and Council for, this year. If the Board continues to receive complaints about the fee,, then it will be discussed and another type of program recommended to Council at the close of this year. PRESENT WERE - H. R.
