The sleeting was called to order by the President, Gary Garwood. The minutes
were approved an presented.
City Manager, Mr. Robert Brunton, attended.
Refunding of memberships was discussed. Under special conditions, a one-third
refund vas allowed on a family membership necessitated by a residental change.
This was allowed by a motion of Bud Crandall; seconded and passed by a majority
vote of the members. The Board recommended that cart fees remain the same for
both electric and gas carts.
It was reported that memberships have not been abused. Those who sign as
members pay membership charge.
A request compiled by H. R. Phillips and Bill Metier will be sent to local
organisations asking that dates for tournaments be requested by January or
February each year. Tournaments will he on a rotating schedule. There is
no problem to the course, if tournament attendance is under seventy people.
H. R. Phillips received a letter of complaint concerning discourtesy by Vern
Hackbarth to a amber.
Members suggested the lounge at Collindale should be used as needed by members
and patrons and the use of this lounge not be designated by the concessionaire`s
contract.
A asmi-annual budget analysis report was presented to the Board steembere by
Mr. Brunton, who will attend the September Colf Board meeting. At this time
he will offer specific suggestions concerning golf fees and general funding
of the golf course. Mr. Brunton will also have his staff design permanent,
vandalproof bathroom facilities, to be considered for both Collindale and
City Park Nine.
Dee Goodman moved that effective immediately at Collindale, nine hole rates be
in effect both Saturday and Sunday after 5:OO P.M. The rate is half the
eighteen hole rate. The notion was seconded and passed.
Tom Peck And Bill Metier reported no problems and both golf courses running
smoothly.
The new wing of the Pioneer Museum was moved to Collindale to be facilitated
as an office for Course Superintendent, Neil Johnson. Mr. Johnson explained
his serious equipment problems and the need for new equipment.
John Ras reported City Park Nine in good condition.
The meeting was adjourned.
