Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved asrread.
H. R. Phillips read a letter from city Cour_cil on our reaction to
the Boards and Commissions manual.
Bud Crandall vent over the golf tournaments; requests from. Junior
High Schools for starting times at 2:40 P.M., April 23, April 30,
and May 6 at Collindale; May 6, May 13 and May 2f), 2,40 P.M. at
City Park Nine.
Bud Crandall gives g(w l of Golf Board to advise Council of the Board's
recommendations as to the operation of the two golf courses to better
supply the needs of the public, and the benefit of the City, at the
,least possible coat.
OBJECTIVES
1. Keep golf courses in beat possible condition.
2. Make recosmendations for fees and memberships.
3. Support the Golf Proa and Superintendents.
4. Support adequate cart •rentals for golfers.
5. Make recommendations for all tournaments.
6. Provide the best possible facility at the least possible cost.
7. Support the maintenance of tF:e Clubhouse and Concession Bar.
8. Support the golf Staff in construction of a pitching green
at Collindale.
9. Support the golf staff in the development of an underground
sprinkler system at City Park Nine.
10. Support a aembership campaign.
11. Work towards providing a full-time marshall for both courses.
12. Work towards :improving public relations.
Discussed use of sarshalls. Bill Metier felt they were not too effective.
The meeting was adjourned.
